CPP President Welcomes Dr. Say Bory to the Party

PHNOM PENH: As President of the Cambodian People's Party, former Prime Minister Hun Sen welcomed Dr. Say Bory to the reigning Cambodian People’s Party.

Born in 1940, Dr. Say Bory is one of the most renowned lawyers in Cambodia, respected by local and foreign intellectuals alike. He graduated with a doctorate of law in Paris in 1974 and went on to become the founding president of the Bar Association of Cambodia in the mid-1990’s.

In May, the lawyer made a Facebook post praising former Prime Minister Hun Sen’s political acumen and recommending that he be studied.

On September 5, Hun Sen wrote on his social media, "I warmly welcome His Excellency Say Borey who decided to join the political life with the CPP.”

Say Bory thanked the CPP President for the warm welcome and said, “Khmer join together to make Khmer strong for prosperity and development.”

CPP President Hun Sen believes that Dr. Say Bory’s addition to the party will help it gain more respected intellectuals and specialized human resources.
